KUALA LUMPUR (May 26): Property development company Bertam Alliance Bhd saw 9.9 million of its shares, representing a 4.79% equity stake crossed off market today.

According to Bloomberg, the shares changed hands in one block, at 60 sen per share. At market close today, Bertam shares were traded at 66.5 sen per share.

Bertam’s largest shareholder is Brem Holding Bhd, which holds a 32.8% stake in the company, followed by Bertam managing director Lim Nyuk Foh, who holds a 8.54% stake.

According to a May 22 Bursa Malaysia filing, Andi Santriani Mohd Rida and Sudirman Usman had emerged as substantial shareholders in Bertam on May 18 with a purchase of 17 million shares, or a 8.2% stake, through their interests in Tung Fong Hotel (SDK) Sdn Bhd.

Bertam (fundamental: 1.35; valuation: 1.1) shares closed down 0.5 sen or 0.75% today to 66.5 sen today with a market capitalisation of RM137.49 million.
