<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>In a bourse filing yesterday, BCorp said the venture will involve its wholly-owned unit Berjaya Group Bhd acquiring a 80% stake in a pharmaceutical company, Morning Charm Sdn Bhd, for RM80,000. Morning Charm wholly owns another pharmaceutical firm by the name of Monarch Wonder Sdn Bhd.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>BCorp said Morning Charm and Monarch Wonder signed a joint venture (JV)-cum-shareholders’ agreement yesterday with CW Retail.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>Morning Charm and Monarch Wonder will own 75% of the JV company, with CW Retail controlling the remaining 25% stake.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>The venture, it said, would enable BCorp to expand and strengthen its pharmacy distribution and retail businesses under the co-brand names while making its foray into the pharmacy warehousing business sector.</p></div>

<div class=newsTextDataWrapInner><p>BCorp shares closed half a sen or 1.27% higher at 40 sen yesterday, valuing it at RM1.8 billion.</p></div>
