KUALA LUMPUR (May 30): Cloud-connected security and storage solutions provider Barracuda Networks, Inc has launched its Intronis MSP Solutions which provides backup and data protection solutions for managed service providers (MSPs).

In a statement today, Barracuda said the Intronis MSP Solutions now includes Barracuda Essentials for Office 365, a suite of cloud services that combines email security, archiving and backup in a single solution.

It said Barracuda Essentials enables MSP partners to provide protection for customers in Office 365 environments against data loss resulting from targeted email attacks, as well as recovery after a data loss event.

The company said providing vital multi-layered security, archiving and backup helps customers prepare for, migrate to and rely on Office 365 with confidence.

It said the package enhances Microsoft’s built-in features, with added email security and Advanced Threat Detection.

Regional Manager of Barracuda in Malaysia, Thiban Dharmalingam, said while backup remains a critical part of data protection, MSPs need to take a more holistic approach by also proactively protecting their customers against targeted email threats, such as phishing.
