KUALA LUMPUR: Affin Hwang Investment Bank Bhd announced that Bank Negara Malaysia has taken cognisance of its name change from HwangDBS Investment Bank Bhd.

According to Affin Hwang’s statement yesterday, the name change was effective Sept 18 this year. The change came after the completion of the merger between Affin Investment Bank Bhd and HwangDBS Investment Bank.

According to Affin Hwang, companies under the group have been operating under the brand name “Affin Hwang Capital” since Sept 22.

“At this juncture, there is no change to the way business is conducted. Retail stockbroking and asset management clients will continue to be served by their existing branches,” Affin Hwang said. It urged clients and partners to take note that all dealings and transactions should be made in the legal names of the operating entities.
