KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 10): Axiata Group Bhd, Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) and Genting Bhd were the three biggest laggards among the FBM KLCI component stocks in the afternoon session.

At 3:02pm today, Axiata declined the most among the KLCI component stocks, falling 8.16% to RM4.05, followed by TM, which dropped by 5.94% to RM2.85.

Genting, meanwhile, fell by 5.41% to RM7.34.

The benchmark KLCI was down 28.87 points or 1.63% at 1,745.28 points. Its lowest was on July 17 this year when it closed at 1,737.28 points.

Other decliners among the KLCI components stocks were Tenaga Nasional Bhd, Genting Malaysia Bhd, Petronas Gas Bhd, Sime Darby Plantation Bhd, CIMB Group Holdings Bhd, Dialog Group Bhd, Hartalega Holdings Bhd and Maxis Bhd.
