KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 16): Atta Global Group Bhd saw 28.81 million shares or a 20.03% stake in the company crossed in several off-market trades today.

Bloomberg data showed the shares were crossed in four separate transactions between 3.34pm and 3.45pm, all at a transaction price of RM1 per share. This was 0.98% below today's closing price of RM1.01.

This led to a total of RM28.81 million being crossed in blocks of 4.07 million, 20 million, 2.86 million and 1.88 million shares respectively.

The identities of the parties involved in the trades were unknown at the time of writing.

Shares in Atta, which is primarily involved in metal processes, hit a record high of RM1.07 on Jan 11. A total of 17.48 million shares or an 11.79% stake was crossed off-market on that day.

Its executive director Ng Chin Nam and chairman Ooi Chieng Sim were revealed to have disposed of Atta shares at the time.

Shares in Atta fell 2 sen or 1.94% to close at RM1.01 today, with 775,400 shares done, bringing a market capitalisation of RM151.29 million.
