KUALA LUMPUR (March 23): Anzo Holdings Bhd said it is unaware of the reasons behind the recent rise in its share trade volume, in response to Bursa Malaysia's unusual market activity query earlier today.

In a bourse filing, the company said it is not aware of any unannounced corporate development, rumour, report or any other possible explanation for the spike in the volume of trading in its shares.

However, it noted the acquisition of 3.15 million shares by its managing director Datuk Chai Woon Chet on March 23, 2016.

Anzo saw some 54.7 million shares exchanged today and was among the top actives on the board.

Anzo shares closed down two sen or 6.35% at 30 sen, translating to a market capitalisation of RM88.8 million.
