KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 9): AirAsia today announced that it had partnered California-based Palantir Technologies to carry out projects on the latter's platform across the airline's various business functions over the next five years.
In a statement, the budget airline said these functions would include guest experience, in-flight sales, route revenue, finance, security, flight operations, network planning, cargo, supply chain management, commercial and people development.
It said projects would include building “customer-obsessed” data-backed models, providing visibility and improving efficiency across our operations, improving efficiency in procurement and inventory management and providing technical and analytical training for AirAsia's Allstars.
AirAsia Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and AirAsia X Co-Group CEO Tan Sri Tony Fernandes said this partnership would allow the airline to drive exponential growth as it shifts to the next stage of value-creation.
“We are going to set the standard for how airlines use data to increase revenue, reduce costs, boost efficiency and create a truly personalised guest experience.
"We are thrilled to have Palantir as our partner on this,” he added.
