KUALA LUMPUR (June 27): AirAsia Bhd will be shifting its operations in Yangon, Myanmar, from Terminal 2 to the new Terminal 1 effective tomorrow (June 28).

In a statement today, the low-cost carrier said passengers who are travelling on all flights operated by AirAsia (flight code AK) and Thai AirAsia (flight code FD) are advised to check in at Terminal 1 from the effective date.

All passengers flying to or from Yangon will be informed by the airline of the change via email and SMS.

AirAsia operates two routes from Kuala Lumpur and Penang into Yangon, while Thai AirAsia operates one route from Bangkok into Yangon, bringing a total of 45 weekly flights.

Shares in AirAsia fell 4 sen or 1.53% to close at RM2.57 today, for a market capitalisation of RM7.21 billion.
