KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 9): AirAsia will cancel and reschedule a number of flights to and from Taiwan's Taoyuan International Airport today and tomorrow in anticipation that Typhoon Lekima will disrupt flights there.
Budget airline AirAsia said in a statement today Typhoon Lekima is expected to make its closest approach to Taiwan's capital Taipei today, with severe disruptions to scheduled flights.
"AirAsia has notified all affected guests via email and SMS. Guests who are travelling to/from Taipei on the above dates are encouraged to check their registered email and mobile (telephones) for cancellation or reschedule notifications.
"AirAsia is monitoring this weather situation and will continue to provide information on the latest developments," the airline said.
