KUALA LUMPUR, (May 28): Budget airline AirAsia Bhd will be adding 43 extra flight frequencies from Kuala Lumpur, Johor Baru and Kuching, starting June 8 to June 25, in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri festive season.
In a statement, AirAsia said today that flights from Kuala Lumpur to Alor Setar will increase from 31 to 38 times weekly one-way, and to Langkawi from 61 to 65 times weekly one-way, while from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Terengganu will be increased from 35 to 39 times weekly one-way.
Additionally, flights from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Baru will also be increased from 56 to 63 times weekly one-way and to Bandar Seri Begawan from 14 to 17 times weekly one-way.
Flights from Johor Baru to Tawau meanwhile, will increase from four to seven times weekly one-way to Kota Kinabalu, from 14 to 18 times weekly one-wa.
Flights to Miri will increase from three to six times weekly one-way, while flights to Sibu will increase from seven to 11 times weekly one-way.
In addition, flights from Kuching to Sibu will increase from 21 to 25 times weekly one-way.
AirAsia is also offering all-in-fares promotion starting today until June 3, for the travel period of between June 4 and Oct 30.
For example, flights from Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi, Penang, Alor Setar and Johor Baru will start from RM40 one-way, while that from Kuala Lumpur to cities in Sabah and Sarawak such as Kuching, Miri, Sibu, Bintulu, Kota Kinabalu and Labuan will start from RM75 one-way.
The promotion is also available for direct flights from other hubs such as Johor Baru, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu and Penang, AirAsia said.
AirAsia's low-cost long-haul affiliate AirAsia X Bhd is also offering all-in-fares promotion from Kuala Lumpur to Maldives, Melbourne, Hangzhou, Kaohsiung, Shanghai, Seoul, Jeju and Jaipur from RM129 one-way starting today, until June 3 for the travel period of between June 1 and June 30.
