KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 30): Oil and gas support services provider Uzma Bhd said today it strongly refutes a blog post's malicious and false allegations that have been made against the company, its executives and its main customer.

"With reference to a report published in an unverified online site on 29th January 2019, Uzma strongly refutes the malicious and false allegations that have been made against our company, its executives and its main customer.

"We are committed to ethical business practices and good corporate governance in order to be an exemplary corporate citizen in the oil and gas industry. Uzma has filed reports with the relevant authorities and we leave the matter for their further action," Uzma said.

Uzma did not specify in its statement the allegations in the blog post, and the name of the online site which published the allegations.

Yesterday (Jan 29), a Sabahkini2.com report queried whether it is true that certain companies received preferential treatment from Petronas as long as there are scandalous relationships and bribes involved.

Sabahkini2.com alleged that Uzma received preferential treatment from Petronas.

Earlier today, Petronas issued a statement in response to allegations in the blog post.
