KUALA LUMPUR (July 14): Advancecon Holdings Bhd’s wholly-owned unit has bagged a RM19.85 million contract to undertake earthworks and other related works at Sime Darby Property Bhd’s Bandar Bukit Raja 2 development in Klang, Selangor.

In a bourse filing, Advancecon announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Advancecon Infra Sdn Bhd (AISB) had accepted a letter of award (LOA) from Messrs Sime Darby Property (Bukit Raja) Sdn Bhd for the two-year contract starting July 27.

In a statement, the group noted that the contract win is its fourth at Sime Darby’s Bandar Bukit Raja township in Klang.

“We are highly encouraged by the continued trust and confidence shown to us by our client. With this being our fourth contract within the Bandar Bukit Raja township, we are confident of executing our scope of works in a timely manner.

The group's orderbook now, which stands at RM722.3 million, provides earnings visibility for at least 24 months, while it continues tendering for new jobs, said Advancecon Chief Executive Officer Datuk Phum Ang Kia.

Shares in Advancecon finished 1.28% or half a sen lower at 38.5 sen today, valuing it at some RM155.66 million.
