KUALA LUMPUR (July 26): The bulk of the latest Covid-19 infections reported today were detected among people who have not been vaccinated, according to Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

These people made up 92% of today's 14,516 cases, he said in a statement today. The unvaccinated also made up 97.9% of the 95 people who became severely ill from the coronavirus, he said. These are placed under Category 5 that indicates critical patients with multiple organ complications who require assisted ventilation.

"Hence, get vaccinated immediately so that you and your family are protected from the dangers of Covid-19 infections," he said.
