KUALA LUMPUR (April 6): A total of 88 positive Covid-19 cases has been detected among the attendees of the wedding banquet in Bandar Baru Bangi.
According to the Ministry of Health (MoH), the cluster has reached a fifth-generation of infections, including one patient who is currently being treated at an intensive care unit. No death has been reported in this cluster so far.
The MoH announced 236 recoveries as of noon today — the biggest rise in a single day. This brings the total number of cured cases to 1,241 in the country.
There are 131 new cases reported today. Malaysia currently has 3,793 confirmed Covid-19 cases — the highest in Asean. The recovery rate is currently 32.7% of the total infections.
There is one death reported today, bringing the toll to 62.
