KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 5): A total of 25.5 million shares or 3.7% of Yong Tai Bhd changed hands in a series of off-market trades today.

According to Bloomberg, the 25.5 million shares worth RM5.99 million or 23.5 sen apiece were traded in four blocks at 4.47pm today. The blocks comprised 1.5 million, 4 million, 5 million and 15 million shares.

The 23.5 sen price represents a premium of four sen or 20.51% from Yong Tai’s closing price of 19.5 sen today. The identities of those who participated in the trades are currently unknown.

As of June 11, 2019 the group’s largest shareholders were chief executive officer (CEO) and executive director Datuk Wira Boo Kuang Loon, who owned 21.77% or 150.03 million shares; executive director Datuk Seri Lee Ee Hoe, 4.49% or 18.69 million shares; and Full Winning Development Ltd, 21.77% or 150.03 million shares.

Yong Tai closed half a sen or 2.5% lower at 19.5 sen today, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM134.4 million. Some 1.67 million shares changed hands.
