SHAH ALAM (Oct 8): A total of 36 housing estates in Klang mukim (sub-district) will be placed under the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) from midnight tonight until Oct 23.

Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari said the affected areas are Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Kampung Johan Setia, Kampung Bukit Naga, Kampung Perigi Nenas, Kampung Kuantan, Kampung Serdang, Bandar Puteri, Kampung Sungai Kandis, Taman Sri Andalas, Lorong Sungai Udang, Taman Suria, Mutiara Bukit Raja and Bandar Klang.

“Other areas are Pangsapuri Bukit Kuda, Ken Rimba Jimbaran, Pangsapuri Palm Garden, Taman Andalas Permai, Taman Desa Meru, Taman Seri Lembayung, Taman Gembira, Kampung Delek Kiri, Taman Kim Batu Belah and  Kampung Sungai Udang.

“Taman Klang Perdana, Taman Bayu Perdana, Taman Klang Utama, Taman Sentosa, Taman Pendamar Indah, Jalan Dato Dagang, Taman Sejati, Jalan Haji Tarmizi, Taman Setia, Jalan Kebun, Taman Sri Muda, Jalan Muhibbah and Taman Tenaga Bakti,” he said in statement here today.

Amirudin said during the period, restaurants, eateries, food stalls, grocery shops, convenience stores are only allowed to operate from 6am to 10pm.

“Drive-thru and delivery services as well as takeaways are encouraged while dine-in is prohibited. Petrol station operation hours will be from 6am to 11pm,” he said.

As for wholesale markets, Amirudin said the operational hours are from 4am to 2pm, daily markets from 6am to 2pm and farmers’ markets from 6am to noon while night markets are not allowed.

“Clinics and hospitals are allowed to be open 24 hours while pharmacies and drug stores can operate from 8am to 11pm. Public transportation services like bus, taxi and e-hailing will be allowed to operate from 6am to midnight,” he said.

Only the head of the family will be allowed to go out for the purpose of buying food and essential items while those who fall under the high-risk category are not encouraged to go out in public or crowded areas.

Amirudin said places of worship for Muslims and non-Muslims, public and private institutions of higher learning, skills training institutes, schools, kindergartens, nurseries, tahfiz centres, childcare centres, public parks, recreation centres are to remain closed during the period.

All religious and sporting activities will also be halted during this period, he added.

"Any development based on the COVID-19 case in this district will be reviewed from time to time and full cooperation between the industry, community and government is very necessary for us to break the infection chain and flatten the curve of the outbreak," he said.
