KUALA LUMPUR (March 9): GFM Services Bhd announced that the group’s vice-chairman Ruslan Nordin has been redesignated as the new managing director.

In Thursday’s Bursa Malaysia filing (March 9), the integrated facilities management service provider also announced the retirement of Mohammad Shahrizal Mohammad Idris as managing director.

Shahrizal, however, will remain as an executive director.

Ruslan holds a direct stake of 8.85% and indirect stake of 10.83% in the company.

Ruslan studied in Plymouth Polytechnic, UK, with a degree in engineering in electrical and electronic. He also has more than 33 years of working experience in engineering, project management, marketing and facilities management.

Ruslan’s previous employment include Lembaga Letrik Negara, ABB Sdn Bhd, Mobil Oil Malaysia Sdn Bhd and Propel-Johnson Controls Sdn Bhd.

GFM’s share price closed unchanged at 19.5 sen. Its market capitalisation stood at RM134.46 million.
