2 inspiring events this weekend

East Imperial Gin Jubilee

Enjoy a selection of gin-inspired cocktails at special prices, served at various venues — like Locker & Loft, The Sticky Wicket, Virgin & Throne and the Rad Pad, to name a few — today and tomorrow leading up to the Gin Lane Closing Party tomorrow and the Recovery BBQ on Sunday. Visit ginjubilee.com/kuala-lumpur for the full list of events and the respective venue websites for further information.

TedxKL

Come and be inspired by the thoughts and ideas of the speakers at TedxKL. This year’s theme is resonance, creating a morphic field that strengthens when more energy is added to it. When we resonate with something or someone, we relate to it in a certain, almost harmonious way — precisely what TedxKL aims to achieve with these series of talks. The presenters include rocket scientist Izmir Yamin, musical performers Hands Percussions, bio-conversion advocate Anne Deguerry, social entrepreneur Rajiv Bhanot, artist and composer Usman Riaz and others. Tickets priced at RM106 and RM127.20 can be purchased via www.peatix.com. The event will take place at the Calvary Convention Centre, Jalan Jalil Perkasa 1, Taman Teknologi Malaysia from 1pm to 7pm tomorrow. Visit www.tedxkl.com.
