In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, SBC said Sia, 51, now holds dual positions in the group. He also sits on the boards of several subsidiaries of SBC. 
 
Sia joined SBC after he left the investment banking industry in 1991. Apart from SBC, he also sits on the boards of several subsidiaries of the group.&nbsp; 
 
As at Nov 7, 2014, Sia has a 32.09% direct and indirect stake in SBC. He is the brother of Sia Teong Leng, who is SBC's executive director and also a major shareholder with a 20.69% stake.
