KUALA LUMPUR (April 29): Sedania Innovator Bhd has appointed Mahadzer Arshad as its new chief executive officer (CEO) replacing Kamshul Kasim, who stepped down from his post on May 1.

Sedania told Bursa Malaysia today that Kamshul resigned from his post due to health problem. He was appointed to the post on July 3 last year.

According to Sedania, Mahadzer has more than 28 years of relevant experience in telecommunication and technology related industry.

His track record includes 17 years of working experience at senior management level in start-up companies, multinational corporations and other listed companies.

He started his career at IBM Malaysia Sdn Bhd in 1988 as an application specialist, providing pre- and post-sales support for IBM banking applications in domestic and regional markets.

In 1996, he joined First Taz Technology (M) Sdn Bhd as an IT consultant, heading the technical evaluation team. In 1999, he joined Maxis Bhd as a head of wholesale business unit and subsequently head of business integration unit within the corporate business division.

He left to join Ivanex Sdn Bhd as CEO in 2001.

In 2004, he was a principal consultant at Clockwork Orange, where he handled various project implementations for both private and governmental sectors.

In 2008, he joined Oriented Media Group Bhd as a project director; and from 2009 to 2012, he was a senior project director at Industronics Bhd.

He joined Clixster Mobile Sdn Bhd, a licensed mobile virtual network operator, as deputy CEO in 2012.

In 2014, he was a senior vice president (product and marketing) at ALTEL Communications Sdn Bhd and is responsible for all commercial activities.

Shares in Sedania fell one sen or 2.67% to close at its one-year low of 37 sen, for a market capitalisation of RM73 million.
