KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 16): RHB Indochina Bank Ltd, a member of the RHB Banking Group, officially opened two new branches in Cambodia today, namely Mao Tse Tung and Boeung Keng Kang, marking the 10th and 11th RHB Indochina branches opened in the country.

In a statement today, RHB Group — Malaysia's fourth largest fully integrated financial services group — said that in a period of eight years, the group has expanded its Cambodian footprint to include seven branches in Phnom Penh and four branches in the provinces, namely Kampong Cham, Battambang, Siem Reap and Preah Sihanouk.

"As a group, we have the capabilities and resources to support our regional expansion plans and we will continue to build on our strength within the region.

"We target for our international operations to contribute 20% of the group's profitability by 2020. This is in line with our reframed group strategy, which emphasises on performance and the delivery of superior customer experiences to all our customers," said RHB group managing director Datuk Khairussaleh Ramli.

RHB Indochina Bank's assets grew 62% in 2015 and has been growing at an average of 50% every year since inception.

The grand opening of the new branches was officiated by National Bank of Cambodia deputy governor Ouk Maly, and was attended by the ambassador of Malaysia to the Kingdom of Cambodia His Excellency Datuk Seri Hasan Malek, RHB Banking Group chairman Tan Sri Azlan Zainol, RHB Indochina chairman Tuan Haji Khairuddin Ahmad, Khairussaleh, as well as other board of directors and senior management of the RHB Banking Group.

The Mao Tse Tung Branch and Boeung Keng Kang Branch will offer customers a wide range of retail and commercial banking products and services including over-the-counter transactions comprising current account, savings account, fixed deposit, remittances, foreign exchange, money transfer services, trade financing and loan facilities.

The branch is also equipped with the industry's first 24-hour full-function automated teller machine (ATM) services for cash deposits, cash withdrawals, cheque deposits and cross-currency withdrawals, all-in-one.
