KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes Benz Malaysia today launched three premium SUVs, namely the GLC 250 4MATIC Coupé, GLS 400 4MATIC, and G-Class G63.

Its passenger cars sales and marketing vice president Mark Raine said the premium SUV range redefines the standard of the local luxury segment, with each vehicle offering an option to complement the lifestyle of its local customers.

"Combining ultimate driving comfort, dynamic handling and great agility, our SUVs are here to define a new best class, break conventions and provide our customers with the vehicle to make a statement," he said at the launching ceremony.

The GLC coupe is powered by an in-line four, 1,991cc engine, and produces 211hp at 5,500rpm and 350Nm of torque of between 1,200 and 4,000rpm.

The GLS, meanwhile, is powered by a V6, 2,996cc engine, and produces 333hp of between 5,250 and 6,000rpm.

As for the G63, it is powered by a 5,461cc V8 engine, producing 571hp and 760Nm of torque.

Pricing for the GLC, GLS and G63 begins from RM423,888, RM888,888 and RM1.18 million, respectively, on-the-road without insurance.

Mercedes Benz Malaysia has launched about 10 models so far this year.
