KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airlines Bhd (MAB) unveiled its new Airbus A330-300 business class seats at the World Travel Market in London on Monday.

In a statement yesterday, the national carrier said the new seats will be introduced in April 2016, and will see all its 15 A330-300s fitted with the new configuration by September 2016.

MAB group chief executive officer Christoph Mueller said the new seats and configuration are designed to “give a superb space for work, play or sleep”.

“All of our A330 business class seats will now feature fully flat beds, allowing our guests the ultimate in comfort and versatility,” he said, adding that the product would make MAB more competitive against other full-service carriers.

“It is also part of the airline’s push to be more customer-centric.” he added. Currently, the airline’s A330-300 features 27 business class seats and 263 economy class seats.

The move is seen as part of the airline’s brand overhaul, which according to a report by The Edge Financial Daily quoting sources last month would involve a new name, logo and livery for its aircraft.
