KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 19): Hong Leong Assurance (HLA)’s Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) 2017 recognition benchmark achievers increased by 60% to 235 agents, compared with 147 agents last year, according to a statement released by the insurance firm today.
 
“This year, HLA accomplished stunning results with a total of 235 agents qualifying for the MDRT 2017 recognition benchmark, an impressive increase of 60 percent from last year’s 147 agents,” HLA said.
 
In order to qualify for its Top of the Table (TOT) and Court of the Table (COT), agents must achieve 6 or 3 times the MDRT production requirement respectively.
 
According to the firm, from its 235 agents that qualified for MDRT 2017, seven are TOT and six and COT achievers.

HLA recently held a 2-day event at the Lexis Suites in Penang, and paid tribute for the achievements of their MDRT benchmark qualifiers for 2017

“Among this year’s seven TOT qualifiers, May Lee Sue Wee is the shining star of HLA, as this marks the 15th time that she has qualified for TOT, while also being a TOT Qualifying Life Member,” the firm said.
 
Lee was also previously certified by MDRT USA and the Malaysia Book of Records as the 1st in Malaysia and 4th in South-East Asia to achieve TOT for the 10th time, back in 2012.
 
Jessie Wong Siaw Puie has achieved TOT for the third time.
 
“With the highest first year premiums (FYP) of all the TOT qualifiers for 2017, Jessie is the rising star of HLA. Previously, she was also named Champion National AKARD Personal Diamond and Industry National Record Breaker 2016,” HLA added.
 
Wendy Chuah Pei Leng has qualified once again for TOT for the 2nd consecutive year. Previously, she has also qualified for 1 time COT and 1 time MDRT.
 
The remaining 4 TOT qualifiers are Cruz Wong Chung Hua, Sylvia Lee Yee Lii, Cindy Ng Zhi Yun, and Sammi Chong Poh Yee, all of whom are first time TOT qualifiers. 
 
HLA’s COT qualifiers this year are Cherie Lai Poh Hwa, Eileen Looi Siew Lan, Jeff Phong Chin Siew, Jessie Lau Wai Lan and Wang Ai Wee.
