KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 6): Bursa Malaysia's ACE-Market-bound GFM Services Bhd has bagged a five-year contract worth RM22.8 million to manage and maintain Manara Matrade's facilities.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, GFM said its wholly-owned subsidiary Global Facilities Management Sdn Bhd was awarded a letter of acceptance in respect of the said contract on Dec 16 last year.

The award, it added, is subject to a final contract entered into between Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade) and GFM, as well as the fulfilment of "other relevant conditions".

GFM said the contract has begun on Jan 1 this year and will expire by Dec 31, 2021.

The group, which recently completed a reverse takeover on AsiaEP Resources Bhd, said the contract is expected to contribute positively to its earnings over the contract period.

GFM is principally engaged in the provision of facilities operation, maintenance, and management and engineering services.

The group will be assuming AsiaEP's listing status next Monday (Jan 9).
