KUALA LUMPUR (June 28): GEM Residences, a joint development by Gamuda Land, Evia Real Estate and Maxdin Ptd Ltd in Toa Payoh, Singapore, has garnered "excellent response" from the market, with 55% of its units sold just a month after the project was launched on May 28, 2016.

Priced at an average of SG$1,426 per square feet (psf), the high-rise condominium development comprises 578 units spread over two tower blocks, said Gamuda Land in a statement today.

The development has a mix of one to five-bedroom units, with two penthouses; sizes range from 452 sq ft to 2,045 sq ft, while price per unit starts from S$578,000.

“There are a lot of choices in the market these days. Developments need to be more creative than ever to capture the attention of potential buyers. In Gamuda Land, we ensure that residents of all our developments have an enhanced quality of life by providing not only world-class homes but facilities that encourage a well-balanced lifestyle in a community-oriented environment," said Gamuda Land managing director Chow Chee Wah.

These are further supported by customized services that offer extra convenience for its residents, he said.

"As evident in the positive uptake despite challenging market conditions, value-added services can make a difference," added Chow.

One of the most innovative features of GEM Residences is the recognition of the importance of pets to the well-being of families. As such, there are facilities even for the ‘other family members’ in the form of a residents-only pet pool and a pet exercise area.

GEM Residences also offer a clubhouse with a gourmet kitchen, gymnasium, 50m lap pool, a salt water Jacuzzi, kids’ pool and playground, 8 outdoor cooking areas with charcoal barbeque and teppanyaki hotplate equipment, as well as a variety of community edible gardens.

Each purchaser of GEM Residences is also entitled to a whole year of free golf at the prestigious award-winning Horizon Hills Golf & Country Club in Iskandar Puteri, Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
