KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 22): Gaming machine manufacturer RGB International Bhd has appointed former Kuala Lumpur Crime Investigation Department (CID) chief Datuk Gan Kong Meng as senior vice president.

In a statement, RGB (fundamental: 1.7; valuation: 1.5) said Gan, who served as Kuala Lumpur CID chief until Jan 8 this year, would oversee RGB's risk division.

“With his vast experience with the Royal Malaysia Police force, it will surely benefit the RGB Group in briefing the security and risk management of the group,” RGB said.

RGB manufacturers electronic gaming machines, table games and amusement machines for casinos.

It has operations in Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Singapore, Macau and the Phillipines.

RGB shares closed unchanged at 15.5 sen for a market capitalisation of RM182.92 million. Some 12 million shares changed hands.
