KUALA LUMPUR (Mar 18): Lam Vun Chiang, who is the former deputy director of Malaysia priority financial services at RHB Investment Bank Bhd has joined Gabungan AQRS Bhd as an executive director.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Gabungan AQRS, which is principally involved in construction, civil engineering and property development activities, announced the appointment of Lam, age 44.

Lam has more than 20 years’ experience in the investment banking industry primarily involving equity sales, and has served with various investment banks including Hong Leong Investment Bank Bhd, Affin-UOB Securities Bhd (now known as Affin Hwang Investment Bank Bhd) and AA Anthony Securities Sdn Bhd (now known as UOB Kay Hian Securities (M) Sdn Bhd).

In a separate filing today, the group also announced the resignation of its executive director, Meriah Nasibi, age 41. The resignation was part of a board restructuring exercise, it said.

Meriah was appointed to the board on July 6, 2011, and is responsible for the human resource and administrative functions in the group.

Gabungan AQRS (fundamental: 1.3; valuation: 1.8) shares closed up 1 sen, or 0.77% today to RM1.31 for a market capitalisation of RM497.15million.
