KUALA LUMPUR (May 26): Datuk Che Azizuddin Che Ismail is the new managing director of express bus services company KBES Bhd.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, it announced that Azizuddin, 58, had been redesignated as managing director.

He replaces former KBES managing director Lau Chan Seng, 70, who retired on May 23.

Azizuddin is the former chief executive officer of Konsortium Logistik Bhd. He is also the executive chairman of Arca Corp Sdn Bhd, a company that is involved in the manufacturing of electric vehicles and batteries.

He had emerged as a substantial shareholder in the company in August last year with a 5.17% stake. Currently, Azizuddin controls about 25.7% of KBES.
