KUALA LUMPUR (July 4): Amanahraya Real Estate Investment Trust (Amanahraya REIT) announced today that High-5 Conglomerate Bhd will have to vacate its headquarter's premises in Shah Alam by July 17 this year.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, Amanahraya-REIT Managers Sdn Bhd, being the manager of Amanahraya REIT, said High-5 and all occupiers are required to remove all material goods from the said premises by the deadline.

"The court has served a notice on July 4 (today) in order to repossess the premises," it said, adding this was in accordance to a court order dated May 3 and a writ of possession dated Feb 22.

In a statement last week, High-5 had confirmed it had closed down its operations, saying it was abiding by a court order requiring all occupiers to vacate the premises, from which the bread maker was operating.

High-5 had said since the court order required the group to vacate the premises, it had no alternative but to close down its operations.

The order was obtained by Amanahraya REIT, being the property owner, through CIMB Islamic Trustee Bhd.

Shares in Amanahraya REIT closed unchanged at 91 sen, for a market value of RM521.63 million.
