SINGAPORE (Jan 13): Singapore Technologies Engineering says on Wednesday that it has secured $435 million worth of contracts in the last quarter of last year.

The contracts were secured by its electronic arm, Singapore Technologies Electronics, for Rail Electronic & Transportation, Satellite & Broadband Communications, as well as Advanced Electronics & Information Communications Technologies solutions.

For Rail Electronics & Intelligent Transportation, ST Engineering’s contracts worth $91 million came from local and foreign customers in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan and will be completed progressively till end of 2020.

It secured $107 million in contracts from government, telecom and enterprise users worldwide for the supply of satellite network equipment, earth stations and man-pack terminals.

About $237 million worth of Advance Electronics & ICT contracts were secured from the public and private sectors, which include works in Intelligent Security Management System and others. These projects will be completed progressively till 2025.

In 2015, ST Electronics secured order worth $1.61 billion. The company plans to start construction for a fifth building at the ST Electronics cluster at Ang Mo Kio Electronics Park Road in 4Q2015.

ST Engineering closed 1% lower to $2.90.
