SINGAPORE (Nov 27): The Straits Times Index, which was stuck in a tight 3,344 to 3,355 band since the start of trading, was little changed at 3,347.87 at 12:22pm (0422 GMT).

Market breadth was neutral while overall volume was thin at less than 550 million shares.

Among blue chips, Jardine Matheson Holdings rose 1.5% to US$61.99, Jardine Strategic Holdings gained 2% to US$35.61 and Jardine Cycle & Carriage added 1.7% to $41.99.

Thai Beverage fell 0.7% to 68 cents.

Standard Chartered downgraded the stock to "underperform" from "outperform" and cut its price target to 61 cents from 74 cents, saying the company is at risk of losing more market share as competition continues to rise.

Super Group rose 5.2% to $1.22.

The stock sank to a two-year low of $1.05 last week after the instant coffee maker said its 3Q2014 earnings slumped 47% y-o-y to $10 million on lower revenue and higher raw material costs.
