SINGAPORE (Nov 27): Singapore shares opened flat with trading still subdued as at 10:25am (0225 GMT), when the Straits Times Index was little changed at 3,350.58 and market breadth was neutral.

Slightly more than 400 million shares have changed hands.

The thin interest was expected given a lack of leads on the domestic corporate front and as investors await the outcome of a key OPEC meeting in Vienna later today, although some members of the oil cartel, such as its biggest producer Saudi Arabia, have indicated that they would not cut output.

IPS Securex rose 1.5% to 69.5 cents after OSK-DMG initiated coverage on the security systems provider with a "buy" call and $1.26 price target.

Standard Chartered downgraded the company to "underperform" from "outperform" and cut its price target by 18% to 61 cents, saying the stock was overvalued and business could be further hurt by rising competition.

YuuZoo Corp  fell 5.9% to 56 cents, paring most of its 8.2% gain yesterday, after the company said it has inked a partnership deal with Etisalat in Nigeria to penetrate the mobile gaming market.

Etisalat is a UAE-based telecommunications firm with business across 18 countries in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa.

Technics Oil & Gas declined 0.7% to 73 cents after the company reported a net loss of $8.4 million for the September quarter due to an impairment charge for an associate.
