KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) has appointed Datuk Yunos Abd Ghani as the bank’s chief executive officer (CEO) for a tenure of three years until Nov 30, 2020, replacing Datuk Adinan Maning who held the post since Dec 1, 2007.

In a statement yesterday, BSN said Yunos has 30 years of experience in the banking industry, serving in various operational aspects of the sector, including international and Islamic banking. Before his appointment as CEO, Yunos was the bank’s deputy CEO of corporate support.

“Based on his extensive experience in the banking sector and further assisted by the existing senior management, the board is confident and believes he is able to lead BSN, and thus streamlining the organisational structure to enhance the business strategy, so that generation of sustainable income is achieved,” said BSN chairman Tan Sri Abu Bakar Abdullah.
