KUALA LUMPUR (July 1): Yinson Holdings Bhd said its floating production storage offloading (FPSO) vessel Lam Son has secured another extension for the charter offshore Vietnam for an estimated US$18.1 million (RM75.17 million).

Yinson said its joint venture (JV) PTSC Asia Pacific Pte Ltd had entered into an addendum to extend the tenure of its bareboat charter contract with PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC).

The extension is for a firm period of six months in the second half of 2021, and an option period in the first six months of 2022.


Yinson and PTSC own the JV, with a shareholding of 49:51 respectively. The initial contract spanned July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2021, and was worth some US$122.87 million.

Shares of Yinson closed two sen or 0.4% lower at RM4.99 today, valuing the FPSO operator at RM5.49 billion.
