Make it a day of fun in the sun at an outdoor carnival aimed at raising money for a new handicapped dogs’ facility. Expect to find quality products from Malaysia’s brightest artisans and a chance to hear from experts on pet nutrition, animal welfare and dog training. The event is organised by KL Pooch Resort and Rescue, a non-profit boarding facility and adoption centre. 100% of the funds generated are used for the rehabilitation and housing of over a hundred street dogs that have been rescued from emergency situations. Non-profit cancer charity organisation Cansurvive provides guidance and community support for patients who suffer from cancer as well as their family and friends. Part of their fundraising efforts for the year is Ganesham: A Mega Show on Maha Ganapathy at The Temple of Fine Arts. The show which is an interplay of rituals. The programme of music, dance and theatre will feature 24 artistes from India performing alongside Malaysian artistes at Shantanand Auditorium, at The Temple of Fine Arts located at 114-116, Jalan Berhala Brickfields in Kuala Lumpur. Dancebox and MyDance Alliance and The Actors Studio present Dancebox a night of delicately woven personal and inspirational stories and experiences through dance. Supported by the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPac) the show is curated by MyDance Alliance vice-president Leng Poh Gee and this upcoming instalment will feature seven new works choreographed and performed by a mix of aspiring choreographers as well as industry veterans.
