KUALA LUMPUR: Vizione Holdings Bhd executive director Datuk Chai Woon Chet has resigned after barely two years in the post, citing pursuing other interests.

Chai was appointed to the company’s board of directors on March 5, 2014 and was redesignated as an executive director on May 29, 2015.

Chai is also the group managing director of XOX Bhd and Anzo Holdings Bhd and sits on the board of other listed and private companies.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Vizione said Chai, 38, has experience in the construction and property development industry since 2003 and has undertaken and completed several key projects.

Chai is also extensively involved in the timber, automotive and food and beverage industries.

Vizione returned to the black in the first financial quarter ended Aug 31, 2016 (1QFY17), with a net profit of RM121,000 against a net loss of RM833,000 in 1QFY16.

Last February, Vizione raised gross proceeds of RM58.29 million from a two-for-one rights issue. The figure was lower than the expected RM73.16 million, rendering the company to call off its joint venture project in Seri Kembangan, Selangor on March 9 due to the lack of funding.
