KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 18): Vizione Holdings Bhd is accelerating its plans to venture into Southeast Asian markets in view of weak sentiments dampening the construction industry here, according to its managing director Datuk Ng Aun Hooi.

Ng, speaking to reporters after the group's annual general meeting here today, explained that Vizione aims to participate in housing and infrastructure jobs in Indonesia and Vietnam by the third quarter of 2019, earlier than its initial plan of 2020.

"Looking at Malaysia, the sentiment is still weak. Megaprojects here may have to wait another two years after the country's fiscal accounts are in healthy condition.

"We will definitely work on the basis of joint venture partnerships for our overseas housing projects, and for infrastructure, as main contractors for concession holders," he explained.

Nevertheless, Ng said Vizione is still backed by a strong outstanding order book of RM3.3 billion, which will keep the group occupied for the next four years.
