KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 12): Vertice Bhd has entered into an agreement to supply construction materials to smart hotel operators.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Vertice said the agreement was signed by its wholly-owned subsidiary Vertice Construction Sdn Bhd and Smuzhotel Management Sdn Bhd, which is wholly-owned by Smuzcity Bhd.

It covers the supply of construction materials, hotel furnishing products and related services.

Vertice said the agreement has an initial term of one year effective today, and will automatically be renewed for additional one year.

The agreement, it said, paves the way for Vertice to participate in the construction activities in the development of building of “smart hotel” chains based on the concept of “unmanned” and “cashless” using technologies such as virtual reality, artificial intelligence and mobile apps which will be applied to various hotel services applications.

Vertice’s share price gained 1.5 sen or 1.82% to close at 84 sen today, giving it a market capitalisation of RM157 million.
