KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 10): Uzma Bhd has seen its share price lost as much as 95 sen over the past month after one of its substantial shareholders, Lembaga Tabung Haji (LUTH), sold 9.95 million shares or 3.76% stake in the company.

Uzma which was traded at RM3.84 on Oct 1 continued to lose ground since then, closing at RM2.89 today, with 387, 600 units traded, giving it a market capitalisation of RM757.68 million.

Today's closing price is nearing its one-year low of RM2.53.

A filing with Bursa Malaysia revealed that the Muslim pilgrims fund had sold 3.25 million shares or 1.23% stake in Uzma on Nov 6 (last Thursday).

Following the disposal, LUTH still owns 20 million shares or a 7.57% stake in Uzma.

Of note, the Muslim pilgrims fund had been acquiring and disposing Uzma shares over the past one month.

According to earlier filings, LUTH had bought 9.61 million shares or 3.64% stake in Uzma since October.

In the same period, it also appeared to have disposed 9.95 million shares or 3.76% stake in the company.

None of the filings stated the prices for the transactions.
