KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 17): Construction firm TRC Synergy Bhd is to provide refitting works for Malaysia’s navy, under a contract worth RM60 million.

In a filing with the local exchange, TRC Synergy (fundamental: 0.95; valuation: 1.2) said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Trans Resources Corp Sdn Bhd (TRC), had executed a contract agreement with DCNS Societe Anonyme for a design-and-build contract for the proposed Malaysian Scorpene refit infrastructure works at the Royal Malaysian Navy Submarine Base at Sapangar Bay, Kota Kinabalu.

“Barring unforeseen circumstances, the board (of TRC Synergy) is of the opinion the project will contribute positively to the earnings of TRC Synergy group, in the future,” said the company.

TRC Synergy closed at 40.5 sen flat today, with 77,700 shares traded. Its market capitalisation is RM194.6 million.
