KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 6): AirAsia Bhd group CEO Tan Sri Tony Fernandes said Philippines AirAsia may raise more funds than originally expected in its proposed initial public offering (IPO) this year, INQUIRER.net reported today.
INQUIRER.net quoted Fernandes as saying in a recent interview that Philippines AirAsia could raise more than the US$200 million (about RM782 million) to US$250 million it had projected for its IPO in the Philippines.
“There’s a lot of discussions happening, profits are getting much better,” Fernandes said at the sidelines of a business forum hosted by the Philippine Competition Commission. INQUIRER.net reported that he did not provide specific figures.
Fernandes said Philippines AirAsia's IPO is scheduled around the middle of 2018, INQUIRER.net reported.
