LAST Friday, my portfolio decreased in line with the broader market, which fell sharply in the wake of Wall Street’s decline on Thursday.

The portfolio value went down by 1.17% to RM 104,543 while the FBM KLCI declined by 1.14%.

Total returns for the portfolio decreased from 5.8% to 4.5%.

The portfolio started on 8 July 2014 with a capital of RM100,000. Since then, it has outperformed the FBM KLCI by 9%, and has registered an annualised return of 17.5%.

Total profits currently stand at RM 4,543.

There were no gainers among our existing stocks on Friday. The stocks that lost more ground were ES Ceramics Technology Bhd (-7.7%) and Crescendo Corporation Bhd (-3.1%).

The following shares were bought last Friday, following a pick-up in trading momentum:

SMPC Corporation Bhd: 4,800 shares at RM1.03 per share. The company processes and manufactures steel related products.

Apex Equity Holdings Bhd: 5,100 shares at RM1.54 per share. The company is a Kajang based stockbroker that also has a large land bank.

There were no shares sold on Friday.
