KUALA LUMPUR (June 18): Tenaga Nasional Bhd fell as much as 6% on news the state-owned utility will buy a 70% stake in Malaysia's 3B power plant project from 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).

Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Seri Maximus Ongkili told reporters here today that the "Cabinet has approved" the transaction.

Tenaga (fundamental: 1.3; valuation: 1.8) fell as much as 82 sen to RM12.34, before paring losses.

At 3:14pm, Tenaga changed hands at RM12.56, with saw some nine million shares done.
