KUALA LUMPUR (May 8): Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) has appointed Nor Fadhilah Mohd Ali as group chief financial officer (GCFO) and Datuk Kairul Annuar Mohamed Zam Zam as chief strategy officer to spearhead the next phase of the group's transformation.

In a statement to Bursa Malaysia today, TM said Nor Fadhilah and Kairul Annuar's appointments would start next Monday (May 15). TM said Nor Fadhilah would be TM's first woman GCFO.

TM group chief executive officer Datuk Seri Mohammed Shazalli Ramly said in the statement: “These are key appointments under our new TM leadership, and part of the next phase of the company’s ongoing transformation journey as Malaysia’s convergence champion; building on the strong foundation established by Tan Sri Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa."

"We are also very pleased to note that all these appointments are internal homegrown talents who have been identified in our leadership succession plan. This is in line with TM becoming a more agile organisation, responding to business and market needs,” Mohammed Shazalli said.

Zamzamzairani was TM's former group chief executive officer.

According to TM's statement, Fadhilah began her career with TM as an assistant accountant in August 1993, before being appointed as general manager for financial advisory and business development in group strategy in April 2008.

She is currently TM financial controller, a position she held since August 2015.

Kairul Annuar is currently executive vice president of TM government and chairman of the group's managed accounts council.

"He has over 30 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, where he started his illustrious career in TM in 1985 as an engineer. Over the years, Dato’ Kairul Annuar has taken up different roles, giving him considerable knowledge in the industry, exposure to regulatory matters and the various stakeholders within the industry," TM said.
