KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 2): TDM Bhd has re-designated its group managing director Datuk Mohamat Muda as group chief executive officer (CEO), in line with the group's new policy on employment of key management position.

The policy, which was adopted on Jan 29, stated that the key management position of the company shall be limited to group CEO instead of group managing director.

"In accordance with the above, Datuk Mohamat Muda had duly resigned as group managing director of TDM on Feb 1, 2018, to assume the re-designated position as group CEO of TDM with effect from Feb 1, 2018," said the company in its filing with the exchange.

Mohamat was appointed as group MD on Jan 5, 2017.

Prior to his appointment as managing director in 2017, he was the director-general of the Rubber Industry Smallholders Association from September 2015 to June 2016 and had previously served as deputy director-general, general manager, director and state officer of the association.

At 3.27pm, TDM shares were up 0.5 sen or 1.07% at 47 sen, giving it a market capitalisation of RM787.49 million.
