KUALA LUMPUR (July 8): T7 Global Bhd's subsidiary T7 Aero Sdn Bhd has been appointed Malaysia distributor for New Zealand-based Atrax Group NZ Ltd's weighing and measurement products, which are catered to the airport and logistics sectors.

In a statement to Bursa Malaysia today, T7 Global said Atrax designs and manufactures weighing, dimensioning and related-control systems for the airport and logistics industries.

"T7 Aero is authorised to sell Atrax's range of products in Malaysia with full technical and service support from Atrax.

"The board (of T7 Global) envisages that the appointment will contribute positively to the earnings and net assets of the company (T7 Global) for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2021," T7 Global said.

In a separate press statement which was attached to T7 Global's Bursa filing today, T7 Global chairman Datuk Seri Dr Nik Norzrul Thani Nik Hassan Thani said T7 Aero's appointment as Malaysia distributor for Atrax's products will help T7 Global in its tenders for logistics contracts.

"Presently, we are working with Atrax to supply its weighing systems to our existing customer PTS Resources Sdn Bhd.

"This appointment will further solidify our partnership with Atrax to continue pursuing more clients in the logistics sector as we aim to tap into the booming logistics business following the growth in e-commerce via Atrax," Nik Norzrul Thani said.

At 3.04pm today, T7 Global shares were traded unchanged at 36.5 sen for a market value of about RM231.36 million.

T7 Global has 633.86 million issued shares.
