KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 19): Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has issued a stop-work order on on-going mixed development Fortune Centra (pictured) in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur today for carrying out construction works beyond the hours stipulated by the authorities.
The project consists of 462 serviced apartment units spread over 27 floors, 38 shoplots within a six-level podium and four floors of carpark space. The development is being undertaken by BH Realty Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Asian Pac Holdings Bhd. It was launched in May 2017.
The stop-work order issued under Section 70 (13) (d) of the Street, Drainage and Building Act 1974 (Act 133) was addressed to the project’s main architect.
A notice which was pasted on the hoarding at the project site by DBKL enforcement officers today stated that all work has to stop immediately as construction work on the project is being done beyond the allowed work hours.
The stipulated work hours for the project are from Mondays to Saturdays from 7am to 10pm.
Those responsible could face a maximum jail term of five years or fined a maximum of RM50,000 or both. — EdgeProp.my
