KUALA LUMPUR (Sept 26): Broadband and hybrid WAN solutions provider Silver Peak has appointed Tricia Png as regional director for ASEAN to strengthen its Asia Pacific operations.

In a statement today, Silver Peak said Png would be responsible for executing its sales and channel strategy across the region, and focus on extending the company’s market share and driving the growing demand for SD-WAN solutions.

It said prior to rejoining Silver Peak, Png had more than 20 years of experience in enterprise IT sales, channel and product marketing for top networking and security solutions providers spanning Blue Coat Systems (acquired by Symantec), Certis Cisco, Lucent Technologies and Nortel Networks.

“There is no better time than now to rejoin Silver Peak as the fastest growing company and only vendor in the industry to deliver a complete SD-WAN solution.

“Silver Peak empowers distributed enterprises to fully leverage cloud services, and intelligently connect users to mission-critical applications through virtual WANs using any combination of broadband connectivity,” said Png.

Meanwhile, Silver Peak senior vice president for world sales, Chris Helfer said Asia was one of the company’s fastest growing regions with the adoption of SD-WAN technologies set to explode.

“With Png coming back to Silver Peak, we have found a recognised sales and channel veteran with a solid track record in winning over customers and partners to achieve rapid revenue growth.

“Her appointment further underscores our commitment to delight customers and channel partners in these markets in which we are fast establishing leadership,” said Helfer.
